Practical Aero and Falcon AeroLab, April 2026

Last week, John Norton, taught his 7th and final outreach class of the semester.  He affectionately calls it his “balsa wood glider” class, but it’s really 2.5 hours of basic aero for 12-13 year-olds who are all Falcon AeroLab homeschool students.

Mr. Norton teaching basic aeronautics to a group of middle school students at Falcon AeroLab.

He shares his extensive knowledge of aeronautics and passion for aviation while having a blast with these students! Thanks for your time with the next generation of aviation professionals, John!

For more information on the exciting opportunities offered to students, check out Falcon AeroLab’s website CAREER, COLLEGE, & COMMUNITY READY (falconaerolab.org).

Students test their balsa wood gliders and calculate glide ratio.
