PAI student and NASA Aerospace Engineer, Anthony Destefano, recently returned to his home town of Princeton, MN as part of a NASA outreach event. In total, he spoke to over 2300 students from grades 3-12. The event ended up on the local news in Minnesota and in the local paper of Princeton: https://www.kare11.com/article/tech/nasa-scientist-princeton-hs-grad-returns-to-teach/89-548095678
PAI supplied balsa wood gliders and a handout for the last day of the outreach, a “Basics of Flight” project that involved the gliders for the 3rd graders. Even though the idea of Bernoulli’s principle was new to them, they caught on to the idea. That Friday was also Grandparent’s Day, so some of the 3rd grader’s grandparents came to the presentation as well. We’re sure that Anthony inspired all of his students and several future engineers & scientists! Thanks for including us in this very worthwhile endeavor!
